When people are asked what image they see when they think ‘conservatory’, they almost always describe a Victorian conservatory. The archetypal conservatory style, the Victorian conservatory is a classic English design that dates back to the early 1900s.
The Victorian conservatory has an adaptable roof, allowing the Victorian conservatory to fit both high and low situations. This allows the Victorian conservatory to fit neatly under a first floor window and still retain its elegant style. The Victorian conservatory roof can be glazed in 4 different colours of multi-chambered polycarbonate or it can be double glazed. The Victorian conservatory roofs also have the option of being fitted with self cleaning or solar controlled glass.
The side walls of the Victorian conservatory can be glazed to the floor for extra space. These extra glass panels allow the ‘garden in’ and give the Victorian conservatory a greater sense of depth and space. An alternative to glass panels in the Victorian conservatory is brickwork walls. These can be matched or contrasted to existing bricks and for privacy, solid panels can also be used in the Victorian conservatory where you choose.
The window frames of our Victorian conservatories come in white, rose woodgrain or oak woodgrain, with interiors for the Victorian conservatory coming in either white or woodgrain. A new range of coloured frames are also now available for our Victorian conservatory. Although UPVC is the most popular material of choice for our Victorian conservatories, timber and aluminium are both available too.
