Extend-A-Room Keeps on Growing

Home extension specialist Extend-A-Room has added eight new employees to its growing national team.

The Harrogate-based company welcomed two new arrivals at its head office at Follifoot Ridge Business Park. Angela Upright has taken the role of financial controller, a newly created position within the company. Angela has spent the last three years as an accountant for a national catering butcher.

Rob Mullins joins the team as operations manager. Rob will be working closely with managing director Craig Miller to ensure the smooth running of all business processes.

The national sales team has also received a boost with the addition of three new sales agents, in the Midlands and South of England, and three apprentices have been recruited to the company's steel factory in Accrington.

Managing director of Extend-A-Room, Craig Miller, said:

"This is an exciting time for Extend-A-Room and the skills and experience of our new colleagues really strengthens the team.

"Extend-A-Room is now in its fourth year and we have experienced consistent and rapid growth. These latest recruitments will ensure we are well equipped to deal with the future growth.”

Extend-A-Room, which was founded in 2005, has seen its turnover more than double year-on-year and has recently doubled the size of its head office and introduced a fleet of 12 new vans to accommodate the current phase of growth.

The company's impressive growth story demonstrates how a simple product can lead to success. Designed to be erected in just one day, Extend-A-Room extensions do not require foundations. The totally bespoke steel sub-structure means that Extend-A-Rooms may be suitable where traditional conservatories and sunrooms are not.
