The solution

The plan was to cut through the decking in order to be able to drop the steel base, pre manufactured to precise measurements in the company’s factory, into the space beneath. The surveyor needed to be looking out for man holes rodding eyes, and gullies, to ensure they were not going to be in the way of the steel sunroom legs. In this way, the decking could remain in situ, without any need for all the pain, hassle and expense of removing and replacing it. Thanks to the company’s super efficient supply chain, building methods and fitters, the base was placed carefully on site, the rosewood frames and French doors were fitted to the frame, and finally the lean to conservatory roof installed – all in one day! All the careful preparation paid off handsomely!
The result
