Mr & Mrs Spencer wanted to increase the size of their living space at their farm property in Carmarthen, South Wales. They contacted Extend a Room and soon were able to see conservatories and sunrooms in various styles which the company had fitted not only in Carmarthen, South Wales, but all over the UK. They decided that they would like to have a beautiful new lean to conservatory with base panels installed at their farm.
The challenge

A common challenge when constructing a new conservatory on any property in South Wales is the hilly nature of the land. Access can be difficult, as much of the area is rural and not well served by roads and lanes.  This can cause delivery issues, which can be costly and time consuming.

The surveyor needed to come up with an conservatory design which not only would sympathetically complement the farm building at Carmarthen, but be fit for purpose for Mr & Mrs Spencer and their family.  They needed their sunroom to be a modern addition to their home.

The solution

Most unusually, installing a new lean to conservatory at this farm in Carmarthen, South Wales required that an excavation take place to create a flat area for their new sunroom.

The surveyor and designers worked with Mr & Mrs Spencer on their design, and decided to install white upvc panels around the base of the new sunroom.  These upvc panels are all reinforced and insulated to the highest specifications.

The result

There are many different styles of sunrooms in Carmarthen, South Wales but Mr & Mrs Spencer and their family are extremely pleased with their own lean to design. This corner of their beautiful farm has been transformed by their upvc lean to conservatory. Using Extend a Room’s remarkable steel base technology which removes the need for traditional foundations, it was installed in only a couple of days instead of a couple of weeks.
