Ms Whelan and her family from Ashford in Kent wanted to increase the size of their property. They decided to have a Gable upvc conservatory installed at their home in Ashford, Kent.
The challenge

The solution
Floor levels can be difficult to match exactly due to varying brick heights and mortar beds. Even a tiny discrepancy will prevent the new floor running through perfectly from the new garden room into the original house. The solution is the unique steel base system from Extend-A-Room. After careful calculations regarding the relative ground levels, the base is made up off site in the company’s factory. Dismantled for delivery to site, our qualified fitters are able to adjust the base in tiny fractions, down to the millimetre, to guarantee that the two floors will be level.
Once the unique steel base was fitted, Ms Whelan could now instruct a local electrician from Ashford in Kent to fit the lights. The steel base easily allows cables and transformers to be laid and hidden with a minimum of difficulty.
The result
There are so many different conservatories in Ashford in Kent but Ms Whelan and her family are extremely happy with their own gable upvc conservatory. A previously unused area of the garden is now the main focal point of the home, providing a new sunroom that everyone can enjoy on a daily basis. The Gable upvc conservatory design that Ms Whelan and her family chose looks fantastic with its floor lighting. Outside the sunroom, to the left, there is now a decking area which has been the finishing touch to the great outdoor conservatory life style they were looking for.
