Mrs Kaye has a beautiful home in Essex, which has lovely views of the countryside beyond the fence at the rear of her property. She wanted to extend her living space with this stunning new conservatory, which was installed last year.
The challenge
In common with all sunrooms fitted by Extend a Room not just in Essex, but all over the country, great consideration has to be given to ensure that the new conservatory is in a style and colour which blends sympathetically with the original property and its environs. The customer wanted her new sunroom to have an outlook over the six foot fence to the rear of the garden, to the attractive open countryside.
In order to achieve this, the floor level of the new sunroom would have to be raised above the existing ground level.
The solution
After much thought, the company’s design team, working with Mrs Kaye, came up with a stunning plan for the new conservatory. The frames and roof are in a lovely golden oak wood effect, matching the existing windows of the house, and the timber works around the top half of the property in Essex.
In a design touch that was just perfect, the conservatory has a gable roof which echoes the gable roof of the house. It’s these little features that Extend a Room can suggest which make all the difference.
Next, Mrs Kaye was advised to keep the conservatory frame heights high so as to create a marvelous airy space within the sunroom, which in turn presents and frames the country scenes outside. Extending the legs of their unique steel base, the company was easily able to raise the conservatory floor height to that of the main house.
The result
Of the many different types of conservatory in Essex, surely Mrs Kaye’s is unique. The new golden oak gable roofed conservatory with its stunning design truly complements the existing property. With just a little bit of extra thought and time, the company managed to deliver the ideal conservatory for the customer. It has been immediately pressed into use as a dining cum sitting room, in which the whole family can relax and enjoy their views.
